We were lucky enough to meet one of the founders of Audacia London earlier this year. She started the company, along with another young woman she met through training, because they were struggling to find kit they liked, that was good quality, flattering, grown up and stylish.

audaciaThese star leggings are a great example of how they have struck a really good balance between serious, no-nonsense-looking gear and gear with a touch of personality. These compression leggings are beautifully made, with ‘bum sculpting’ but also with a liner around the glute area, so the fabric doesn’t ‘thin’ as you work out.

The sizes are very forgiving, but we would advise, if you’re in between sizes, to go up rather than down, as we started to notice that ‘thinning’ along the seams on a XS pair and wished we had gone with the S. (We spoke to Audacia about this and they agreed that it is safest to go a size up for the best fit and to give the leggings a longer life.)

There’s also a lot in the collection that is just black, and this mix of pattern or plain options reflects the preferences of the two ladies who run the company – any brand that is created with this much care and personal investment is going to go the distance, just like their products!
