Olympic athlete and Team Strathmore ambassador, Laura Muir, hit the track at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham at the end of last week with 10 competition winners from around the UK.
The middle-distance runner from Inverness hosted a coaching session as part of Strathmore‘s Do More campaign which aims to motivate and inspire more active participation in sport and exercise across all levels.
The exclusive training session gave the winning participants, aged between 24 and 55, the chance to get advice from Laura on their warm-ups, running and stretching techniques; a great opportunity to see just what it takes to become a champion.
Strathmore is the water at the heart of British sport and joined forces with three of Scotland’s sporting heroes – swimmer Ross Murdoch, middle to long distance runner Laura Muir and Paralympic star Samantha Kinghorn – to create Team Strathmore.
With the aim of encouraging people to become more active and lead healthier lifestyles, Team Strathmore launched the Do More Challenge to help boost participation in grassroots sport across the UK.
