Chia Bia kindly made us a batch of these delicious protein balls and we loved them so much we wanted to share the recipe!

Makes 20 protein ballsChia Bia


2 tbsp. Chia Bia Whole Seeds

50g oats

100g pecan nuts

130g Medjool dates

2tbsp. hemp protein

1tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice

1tsp. maple syrup

1 tsp. vanilla extract


1.     Place the oats and pecan nuts in a blender and whizz until you reach a fine, powder-like consistency.

2.     Then add all the remaining ingredients to the blender except the Chia Bia Whole Seeds and blend until the mixture begins to come together. If the mix isn’t combining, add a tbsp. of orange juice until combined.

3.     Roll the blended mixture into truffle-sized balls (about the width of a 50 pence piece). Place the Chia Bia Whole Seeds onto a plate, and roll the balls in the seeds to coat. Continue until each protein ball has an even-coating of Chia Bia Whole Seeds.
