A new course record has been set at the second London Landmarks Half Marathon.
Seyfu Jamal who runs for London Heathside AC, set a new course record and personal best of 1.08:14 taking the title from last year’s winners, father and son duo Ben and Graham Green.
He said: “It’s great, I’m happy. This is a personal best for me. I feel very good.”
First female home was Catriona Paterson in 01:23:07.
Close to 13,000 participants started the event, organised by Tommy’s the largest pregnancy and baby charity in the UK, which began on Pall Mall and finished on Whitehall near Downing Street.
LLHM Race Director, Lia Fyles, said: “Congratulations to Seyfu for winning the second LLHM.
“Having a well organised and competitive event for participants is important to us and we’re thrilled that, alongside the 13,000 runners of all levels and abilities, so many club runners like Jamal take part.
“We hope he will join us again next year to defend his title!”
