Early bird entries are now open for the 2018 Scottish Half Marathon & 10K, which will take place on Sunday 23rd September 2018 in East Lothian, just outside Edinburgh.

The annual event has grown in popularity since its inception three years ago and 2017 was no different. Around 5,000 runners headed down to the East Lothian coastline on a stellar year for the event, which saw three course records broken. Runners took full advantage of the stunning flat routes, taking in the famous ‘Golf Coast’ along the way.

For the second year, the Scottish 10K kicked off proceedings, starting at 9am at Musselburgh Racecourse, before the Half Marathon got underway at 11am from Meadowmill Sports Centre. An estimated half a million pounds was raised for charitable causes, and plenty of personal bests were achieved!

Thousands of supporters lined the stunning East Lothian routes on what was a bright, mild September morning. The final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse provided the perfect backdrop for runners to bask in their achievements and muster a sprint finish in front of the large crowds as the finish gantry came into view. Once over the line, runners were able to kick back with a beer or glass of champagne and a bite to eat in Musselburgh’s stunning picnic area.

Discounted early bird entries for the 2018 event are officially OPEN and will be available until Sunday 8th October at midnight.
